Thurton Foundries Ltd, based in Norwich are manufactures of Castings in Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze, Zinc & Lead.
Metals cast here are:- Grey Iron From 0.5kg to 6000kg. BS EN 1561 1997 Grades 150 to 300. Capacity 25 tonnes per week. Ductile Iron From 0.5kg to 1500kg BS EN 1563 1997 Grades 350/22 to 900/2 Capacity 10 tonnes per week. aluminium All BS 1490 grades in particular LM4,6,13,25 and 31. Capacity 3 tonnes per week. Brass All BS1400 1985 Grades in particular SCB1, 3 DCB3. Capacity 4 tonnes per week. Bronze All BS1400 1985. In particular PB1,2,LG1,2HTB1,2. Capacity 4 tonnes per week. Lead Pure and with Antimony. Capacity 10 tonnes per week.
Within the foundry we also manufacture Die Castings. We produce our own cast iron dies using Solidworks 2006 for CAD and Edgecam for the CAM. Metals cast in this cell are Aluminium LM6 and LM25.

Special Fasteners are also a speciality of Asco Fixings. We have our own joint venture in India, which can manufacture fasteners in all grades from M2 to M20 in metric sizes or imperial.
